There is a cornfield of entrepreneurial opportunity in India. Maybe the idea will catch on and spread to other areas where we need help

ggop - That was my reaction as well when I heard about thisHeartcrossingshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11611681863892546438noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10539912.post-79205759396785641602009-02-23T07:23:00.000-05:002009-02-23T07:23:00.000-05:00This is great! This is great!ggophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13152025930955161430noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10539912.post-16655288851614481212009-02-23T06:12:00.000-05:002009-02-23T06:12:00.000-05:00I had lot of trouble finding an efficient cleaning...I had lot of trouble finding an efficient cleaning lady in the Capital city. I wish we were as enterprising all over the country. Not only in terms of cleaning, I mean I wish we were as entreprenuial in other arenas of life as well so that despite having an overwhelming population we are not understaffed in medical, legal and other fields requiring skills.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10539912.post-87294356801314954722009-02-22T15:31:00.001-05:002009-02-22T15:31:00.001-05:00oops... typo.need to, should read need for.oops... typo.
need to, should read need for.Another Kiran In NYChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949641865013106368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10539912.post-9527808641986686632009-02-22T15:31:00.000-05:002009-02-22T15:31:00.000-05:00A remarkable entreprenual spirit. There is much need to this kind of short contractual labor and there is none to be found.

Most interesting to me is the fact that I finally hear of someone who does not live in "proper" Kolkata. Every non/bengali I know insists they live in Kolkata. I was wondering if the country side was completely deserted. I should go and check it out for myself one day.Another Kiran In NYChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15949641865013106368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10539912.post-77013507905599449952009-02-22T09:02:00.000-05:002009-02-22T09:02:00.000-05:00"Trained house-cleaners" was quite an eye-opener f..."Trained house-cleaners" was quite an eye-opener for me!

One man's meat is another man's poison and the vice versa. There is always a silver lining to every dark cloud (of dust)!

Also, whenever I say I am from Ranchi, most people ask "proper Ranchi?!" This is a popular desi-ism.

Another is "what is your good name?!" which is a literal translation of the Hindi expression: aapka shubh naam kya hai! As if we also have earned a bad name, LOL !Vikas Guptahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17198328373273965602noreply@blogger.com
