Love this idea of an in-home vision test kit. If they close the loop with ordering the lenses and frame all within a single flow, would be even better. But definitely a step in the right direction as the current system makes no sense. I like just about everything here except the overzealous data collection. Convenience and common-sense solutions do not have to come at the cost of privacy loss and data grabbing.
I am more in favor of a local-first approach. This product could offer the customer all the benefits and not latch on to all the data by default. In the least, it should be upto the individual to decide if they would like their vision data shared or not. This becomes even more relevant as other parties enter the mix to create more comprehensive solutions for the customer. If you had no say-so in the data being collected, it is unlikely you will have any in the data sharing arrangements either.
crossings as in traversals, contradictions, counterpoints of the heart though often not..
